The safety of our patients and staff is our utmost priority.
Over the past few months, we have worked hard to ensure all our procedures are updated to strengthen our existing infection control measures in relation to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
We ask all patients if they, or a member of their household, has any symptoms of covid-19, if they are awaiting covid-19 test results, or if they have asked to self-isolate.
Patients have their temperature checked before coming in and are asked to use hand-sanitiser.
The front door is locked and patients are asked to knock on the door. We ask that patients do not attend too early for their appointment, and attend on their own if they are able to.
We ask everyone to wear a mask as they enter the building (unless there is a medical exemption from wearing masks, or children under 11 years old). The mask is only to be removed once inside the surgery.
Infection Control Measures
All our staff have had additional training in covid-19 related measures to ensure adequate infection control.
We have invested in all the correct PPE as per government guidelines.
We have installed ventilation systems and follow government guidelines regarding fallow time between patients.
Routine Scale and Polish
We are currently advised not to offer a routine scale and polish if there is no health need for this, such as signs of gum disease. This is because this procedure generates an aerosol and increases the risk of the virus spreading.
